Welcome to Breaking Nous. Hosted on this site are my many essays and articles apropos of philosophy, chiefly metaphysics. The metaphysical model argued for and written about is monistic idealism, that reality is one thing and that said one thing is mental in nature. Our philosophical inheritance is of key relevance to metaphysics, so naturally Platonism, Hermeticism and peripheral Western Esoterica are used as foundations and reference points. Although, one shouldn’t feel compelled to remain within a system’s stricture and dogma for the sake of doing so, therefore many of my positions, theories and models are presented as raw metaphysical content, with references to and invocations of existing systems where helpful and relevant.
